Adi Argov, a Finalist of the "Show Your World" International Art Competition.
Adi Argov is a multi-disciplinary artist - her work walks the line between drawing, painting, sculpting, video and installation.
Over the last year , Adi mainly was creating graphic line drawings, at times incorporating color work.
Her works illustrate internal and external spaces - imaginary or real - that combine the realistic, visible plain with the imaginative and philosophical. In her work she seeks to present a parallel picture of both, while searching for the places where abstract and figurative meet, creating a meaningful connection between space and image. Through line drawing, Adi Argov develops an internal, idiosyncratic semiosis that seeks to represent a figurative human symbolic event. While trying to turn intellectual space into painted space, she moves between formal description with abstract sense, to concrete impressions of scenery and place.
She investigates the image of home in particular, and spacial architectural presence as reflection of emotional state, and attempt to present the thoughts and stories we tell ourselves about ourselves.
In the work process, raise questions of marking and reference, of being inside or in front of space, and the presence of man at home as opposed to facing, meeting the outside she is a multi-disciplinary artist - her work walks the line between drawing, painting, sculpting, video and installation.
